About Us
Amy Collins, MT, RD graduated from the National Institute of Massotherapy in October of 2000 and is licensed as a massage therapist in the State of Ohio by the State Medical Board. In addition to the standard curriculum, Amy successfully completed a 77.5 Hour training program in Somatic Release in Clinical Massage, including neuromuscular release, myofascial release, positional release, and post-isometric muscle release. She has completed all 4 levels of Touch for Health training, and has basic training in pregnancy massage. She completed a 32-hour certification in LaStone Hot/Cold Stone Massage, and attends regular continuing education workshops and seminars to continuously enhance and expand her ability to serve her clients.
Amy has worked with a variety of clients ranging from 9 to 92 years old using a variety of techniques. She has had the privilege of providing massage therapy for the Riverdance cast and dancers in Cleveland, Columbus and Toledo, and has worked with professional athletes and week-end warriors alike. She adapts her techniques, pressure, and environment to the needs of the individual client.
Amy holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Houston in Human Nutrition and Foods. She completed an internship at the renown Cleveland Clinic Foundation, and is a registered dietitian in the State of Ohio. Amy provides private nutritional counseling, and offers a variety of classes and retreats focusing on wellness.
